The DNA of our artistic projects

The DNA of our projects is the binomial "Liturgy - Art", which jointly constitute the backbone of our buildings and artistic production. This relationship is always present both in the planning and in the implementation stages, as well as in training courses we offer.

We the Blue Sisters have completed architectural and artistic projects for religious and lay clients all over the world, from Italy to Peru, from India to Tanzania.

Architecture

Liturgical adaptation of the Cathedral of Albano Laziale, including:

- planning of the Liturgical Poles (Altar, Ambo, Cathedral Seat);

- conservative restoration of the Facade;

- recovery of the internal Faux Marbles;

- polychromatic recovery of the Bell Tower.

Design of Oratories, Churches and Schools

We carried out all aspects of the design of the new religious and social integration center of the "La Rosa Rossa" Foundation in Chiclayo, Peru.

The Center is currently under construction and includes:

- Church design in traditional Peruvian style;

- design of the Technical School and the Laboratory for the social integration of single mothers and young people;

- optimization of the available area (about 1,000 m2) e

- inclusion of Sports Areas.

Museums

An important program is the collaboration for the realization of the Diocesan Museum of Albano Laziale.

Courses we implemented:

- Liturgy and Art (especially open to artists);

Iconography and Iconology for Religion Teachers;

- Iconography and Iconology in the main churches of the Diocese;

- History of Christian Art

- History of Sacred Architecture;

- Sacred Music and Liturgy.

Architecture

Liturgical adaptation of the Roman Minor Basilica of San Giorgio in Como (which is also the Marian Sanctuary), including:

- Altar;

- Site;

- Ambo.

Project Design & Management

- design of the new church of Santa Caterina (Province of Rome);

- modernist style requested by the Client;

- construction supervision until completion;

- the Church now completed and in use.

Iconography

Our Icons Workshop creates icons for every occasion, Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation., as well as for the Decoration of a Church.

Sacred Textile Decoration

In the Embroidery Workshop we make tunics, copes, dalmatics, stoles and chasubles with embroidered stolon or with stolon already inserted in the weft of the fabric have been made.

In the Workshop, designs a prepared both for the creation of embroidery and for the realization of the type of fabric that will then be packaged.

Project Consultant

- consultants for the refurbishment of the Saint Francis Xavier Church (Vijayawada, India);

- design and production of the new stained glass windows.
